Yes, you will be able to install the Curt Echo Under-Dash Wireless Brake Controller # C27JR on your 2023 Ford Explorer using the Wiring Adapter # C51322. Curt has yet to confirm this fitment (January 2023) but the wiring adapter for that vehicle hasn't changed in 20 years so I'd be shocked if they changed it now.
I like this brake controller because it's completely hidden yet still maintains full control over your trailer brakes, even if you have to close your phone app. If you'd like a physical button for the manual override (aside from the one on your phone screen) you can also pick up the part # C83HR to accomplish this.
