Will The MORryde Cushioned Pin Box Replace A Lippert Rhino Pin Box

Question:

Id like to confirm that the MR55QR pin box 21,000lbs will fit and replace my existing Rhino pin box. I am looking for more of a cushioned ride that I am not getting from my Rhino pin box. My existing bolt/hole configuration is as follows: vertical distance between holes is 1 horizontal distance between holes is 7.5 this measurement is to the center of each bolt hole The overall width that my existing pin box fits into is 12 I have a 20023 Forest River Nitro XLR 407 toy hauler GVW is 21,000lbs On our previous 5th wheel we had a rotoflex pin box and I am pretty sure that will not fit into the assembly that the Rhino is in currently. And from what I have read, the MR55QR will, but would like your confirmation before I order it. I have attached pictures of current Rhino pin box. Thank you

Yes, the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 18K to 21K Trailers w/ Lippert Rhino # MR55QR is going to be a compatible replacement for your Lippert Rhino pin box. You also picked out the correct one for your GVWR as well so you were definitely on the right track.

This pin box has rubber shocks that help reduce front to back chucking, which can be especially bad when starting to move or when you have to slam on the brakes. This will also help when you're rolling down uneven or bumpy roads. The springs are completely maintenance free so you'll be able to just hop in your truck and go without having to make any adjustments. These pin boxes are not the lightest so you'll definitely want to have a few other people around to help lift it into place during the installation.

There is another option, the Curt Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC65VR, which will give you a much better ride quality than even the # MR55QR, but is quite a bit more expensive. The Flex Air features an shock and air bag that can be adjusted to fine tune your ride quality. I recommend starting around 45psi and going up or down 5psi until you feel the ride is how you'd like it to be.
