Best Way to Prevent Sway from Trailer Driven In Sometimes Snowy Conditions
Question:
i have a 7 x 23 inline lightning snow trailer aluminum frame. just trying to get some of the sway out of it. We obviously pull in adverse conditions quite a bit. Snow and icy roads. Is there anything i can do to make the trailer more stable? thanks for your help!

The best way to fight trailer sway is by making sure you have the correct amount of tongue weight relative to the total trailer weight. What you want is to have 10 to 15 percent total trailer weight as tongue weight and that will help a ton. Other thing is to make sure the trailer is sitting as level as possible by using the correct ball mount rise/drop.
But beyond that we do have electric sway control solutions like the Tuson part # 335TSC-1000 which senses when the trailer is swaying and lightly applies the trailer brakes to stop it. You'll never have to worry about sway again with this installed. The friction sway control units can work too to prevent sway but they shouldn't be used if you'll be in snow and ice so you wouldn't want to go that route.
