Are Konig Diamond Pattern Tire Chains Light Duty for 2009 Nissan Xterra
Question:
Im interested in Konig Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair for a 2009 Nissan xterra, but I live up in the mountains in Colorado and think these might be too light duty. Do you have anything similar as regards installation but heavy duty? Clearance is not an issue as the vehicle has a 2 lift. Cheers

The Konig Diamond Pattern Square Link Self Tension Tire Chains part # TH01594267 that fit your 2009 Nissan Xterra if you have the tire size 265/75-16 or the part # TH2004705265 that fit if you have the size 265/65-17 or 265/70-16 are not what I would consider light duty. The links might look a little smaller than some of the other options but the diamond pattern chains are often this size. The diamond pattern offers a smoother ride since the tire rolls on the angled chain instead of over all of it at once like the ladder style that goes straight across the top of the tire. The angled links also help with traction around corners as well.
This chain will give you very good traction in deep snow, be smoother than other options, and also will be easier to install like you are wanting. To maximize traction having the chains on all 4 wheels will be your best option.
