Will Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box Work with Recessed Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

The difference from the top of my goose neck ball to the large round base plate of the fifth wheel is approx 7. Will this adapter work for me? Its going on a 2021 Ram 3500 4 x 4. That 7inch is figured with 2inch of sag in my truck when its hooked up. Thanks

The Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box part # GY66FR will work on a flatbed truck with a recessed gooseneck hitch if the hitch ball is within 1" from the top of the bed floor per Gen-Y. If you don't have this, it's possible that can obtain a high-rise hitch ball, if you let me know what gooseneck hitch you have I can see if we have an option for you.

If you don't have the required depth and there isn't a high-rise hitch ball available then our only other option is the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G.
