Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For Travel Trailer With 550 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
Wdh for liberty deluxe casita trailer.. My trailer has a non stock high-lift axel,the ball height is25-27”. My TW is approx 475-550 lbs. my TV is a chey silverado Which wdh would you suggest . I can mount 30” from ball to trailer rail. Thanks

For a weight distribution hitch that will also provide excellent sway control, the best option for an approximately 550 lb total tongue weight is from Reese:
- Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # RP66083
The Strait-Line # RP66083 gives you the best of everything - a level trailer as well as four points of sway control that will effectively stop your trailer from swaying before it starts, as opposed to after it starts swaying like a lot of friction sway control. You will also need a hitch ball for this, the 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # 19286.
