Recommended Hidden Trailer Hitch For A 2022 Honda CR-V With Hands-Free Hatch Sensor
Question:
I have a 2022 Honda CR-V. I would like to install a trailer hitch and wiring harness. I would like a hidden trailer hitch if possible. My CR-V also has Hands-Free Hatch Sensor will I still be able to have access to that feature?

I recommend the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7345 for your 2022 Honda CR-V. This hitch has a completely hidden design where the cross tube installs behind your Honda CR-V's rear bumper leaving only the receiver tube visible beneath it. After installing the EcoHitch the free liftgate may have a really specific spot where you will have to put your leg to get the sensor to activate.
When installing the wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741. I like this harness over the others that we offer because it has a more reliable powered converter box that will give you more usage out of it in the long run. You will also need the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45554.
I linked two installation videos below. One on the EcoHitch being installed onto a 2020 Honda CR-V and the other being the T-One harness being installed on your exact vehicle. The trailer hitch installation will be the same for your 2022 Honda CR-V. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach back out to me anytime and I will be more than happy to further assist you in your towing endeavors.
