Adding a 7-way to your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L begins with the installation of a 4-way. You will need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK39VR. This wiring harness plugs in behind the tail lights and allows you to power trailer signal lights.
After the 4-way is installed you need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. This kit comes with the wiring, adapter, and everything else required to upgrade the 4-way to a 7-way. It also retains the 4-way connection should you need it.
If you need a brake controller as well, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. The main unit for this brake controller installs behind the dash, leaving only the control knob visible in the cab of your Jeep. The knob controls the braking power and also acts as the manual override.
I have attached some installation videos for your reference.
