How to Pick Out Weight Distribution and Sway Control for Travel Trailer
Question:
Hello, I am looking into getting a camper. I have a ram 2500 to haul it but what type of hitch or connection do I need to haul it. Also, one that limits swaying and allow for weight distribution. I am new to all any advice or info would be greatly appreciated.

A weight distribution system with sway control would be a great solution for towing a camper. It's going to allow your 2022 Ram 2500 to ride more level, brake and handle better, and also minimize any sway from winds or passing semis.
The trick to picking out the correct system is to know the loaded tongue weight of the trailer you will be towing. This allows you to pick a system with the correct amount of spring bar tension to distribute the weight properly. For example, the Reese Strait Line part # RP66083 has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs and the # RP66084 has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lb. The Strait Line systems are really nice as they have the best system that fights sway before it starts by proactively trying to keep the trailer straight.
