4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness That Fits 2007 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
The Toyota truck has separate turn and brake lights. It has a U-Haul 4 pin connector. The trailer has a 7-pin connector with a brake controller and battery. Bought a 7 to 4 pin connector and when plugged in, the turn signals on the trailer work but not the brake lights. What type of wiring adapter do I need to make both the turn signal and brakes to work along with the battery for the brakes

Expert Reply:
The easiest 4-way trailer wiring solution for your 2007 Toyota Tacoma would be the Curt kit part # C56513 which is custom fit for your 2007 Toyota Tacoma and installs easily by plugging inline with your truck's taillight connectors. This would put the turn signals and brake lights on same circuit like you need.
If you wanted to use the 4-way you have now you'd need the 3 to 2 converter part # RM-732.
