Question:

I want to get snow chains for my Tacoma. I used chains before probably 10 years ago all I remember is pain in ass of installation and dealing with tensioner. What is recommendation of affordable, fairly easy to install, chains without tensioner to worry about? Thanks

In order to get the correct snow tire chains for a 2021 Toyota Tacoma you'll need to what size tires are on the truck currently. If you're not sure, just take a look at the sidewall of the tire for the size. The Konig Self-Tensioning Tire Chains are a great option due to not only their performance but also the ease of installation. The chains have a diamond pattern which is great for providing a smooth ride, there are nylon bumper to protect your wheels, and the chains have integrated tighteners so there will be no further adjustments needed after the initial install. The part # th2004705265 is a fit for the following sizes; 265/70-16, 265/60-18, and 265/65-17. If you have a different size please just let me know what that is and I'd be happy to confirm fit of another option.

Please note, the self-tensioning mechanism is a premium feature so most chains with this are not very economical. That said, they are worth the extra cost if you actually intend to use the chains so I do recommend them if your budget allows for it.
