Recommended Hitch w/ the Best Ground Clearance for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
So what is the ground clearance of the # e73ZR ? The safety rigs on mine are down below the 2” receiver and vertical. That’s why I’m hoping your product with horizontals will help my issue. I have a drop off between my sidewalk and street that makes for a ground contact issue on concrete driveway. Attached are pics of what I have installed currently. I’m also interested in the ‘4 pull’ mounted electric harness connect in the install video if you have that item number for me.

Thanks for the pictures! The ground clearance of the etrailer Hitch item # e73ZR on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee is right at 9-1/2" to the bottom of the safety chain loops. This dimension will vary depending on passenger/cargo load, tire condition (brand new versus having 40K miles on them) and tire inflation pressure.
I really like the etrailer hitch because the crossbar installs behind your rear bumper cover leaving only the 2" x 2" receiver visible. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight which can be increased to 5,500 lbs and 750 lbs when used with a weight distribution system.
I have linked a couple of pictures below along with an installation video so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed.
To add a 4-way wiring harness to your 2019 Cherokee you will want the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56406. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Jeep's wiring harness, which is located behind the tail lights. I have linked an installation video to help you find the right harness.
To attach the 4-way to your hitch you will want the Tow Ready Mounting Bracket item # 18144.
