How To Stop Leer Third Brake Light from Flashing with Turn Signals

Question:

I own a 2008 Ford Ranger with a Leer camper shell. The 3rd brake light for the camper is tied into the left brake light and blinks when using my left turn signal. I put up with this for many years and for some reason its really bugging me now. I noticed that there were solutions for other trucks and hoping there is a simple fix for my Ranger as well.

The 3rd Brake Light Logic Module part # PP20-702 is the solution to your problem. It's very cost effective and easy to install. The module simply takes the stop/turn signal from the vehicle whether that's the right or left side and separates out the brake signal so that's all that passes through the module and into the third brake light. Therefore, you'll be able to use your third brake light with the vehicle's stop/turn signals without the light blinking with the turn signal applied.

Conner, I have the logic module PP 20–702 being sent to me. I am wiring up the third brake light from my rear cap into my 2018 GMC Sierra. One of your other text said, and also apparently the wiring instructions on this module say that the two yellow wires must, go to the right and left side turn signals respectively, and the other line goes to the power side of the third brake light. However, what you say in the question and answer sections is that this module can be hooked into either the right or left turn signal rather than both. Which is it?
