Is There Trailer Sway Control that Doesn't Require Drilling

Question:

Is there any way to install this anti sway bar or a similar one without drilling into the trailer frame?

All of the friction sway control units like the Curt # 17200 that you referenced require drilling into the trailer frame. We do have electric sway control units like the Tuson part # 335TSC-1000 which uses sensors to detect trailer sway and apply the trailer brakes just enough to stop it. This would not require drilling.

Jameson: if no drilling is required when using the Tucson 335TSC-1000, how do you attach it to a vertical component of the trailer that is 5 - 10 feet back from the coupler?

@JimH Good question, so while drilling is normally how the module is attached it's not required as long as it's mounted securely. So basically you'd have to come up with a way to secure it without drilling but that will be based on the application.
