Expert Reply:
The USA-made Derale Transmission Pan Cooler # D14207 that you referenced will indeed fit the 4L80E transmission on your 1996 C/K Series pickup. This pan cooler fits both 2- and 4-wheel drive 5.0L V8 engines as well as the 6.5L V8. It comes complete with a magnetized drain plug and mounting gasket.
This Derale pan cooler adds a substantial 4-1/2-quart fluid capacity to your existing transmission and can provide up to a 50-degree transmission fluid temperature reduction.
If you are interested in monitoring your transmission temperature we offer an optional kit, part # D13009, that includes the temperature sensor, mounting bracket and hardware. This installs in the pan before it is mounted to the transmission.
