Would Dealer Reprogramming Fix No Taillights on 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

If the harness isnt activated by the dealer would the brake and turn signal lights still work on the trailer just not the running lights? In other words- the brake and turn signal lights are working on the trailer but the running lights are getting no power from the vehicle. Could that mean I need the dealer to activate or are they all or nothing?.

If the vehicle requires dealer reprogramming then it's likely that none of the trailer lighting signal would work. If you only have a few that are not working then this is just likely a blown fuse so that is what I recommend checking first. The owner's manual for the vehicle will be able to tell you what fuses are located where. If the fuses are good then you'd need to take a trip to the dealer. That said, you can bypass any factory trailer wiring issues using the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118727 as it plugs-in behind the taillights.
