I do have what you need to install an electric trailer brake controller on a 2004 Jeep Liberty but there is no plug under the dash to connect to like other vehicles even on models with the factory tow package. Therefore, you must run the wires yourself and for this I recommend using the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # 5506. This comes with the wiring and circuit breakers needed to connect the controller to the trailer connector and the controller to the battery. If you don't already have a trailer brake controller picked out I recommend the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR as it's one of the most cost effective proportional electric trailer brake controllers you can buy.
