Recommended Roof Rack for 2013 Wrangler 2 Door with Hard Top

Question:

I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler 2 door with a hard top. Im looking to be able to attach snowboard and skis to the top of my jeep. I already have the Thule Ski Rack, part # TH92725 and Im just looking to get something for my jeep to attach them to. Not sure which bars you recommend. Any information would be great! Thanks!

The easiest solution would be to assemble a roof rack using the following parts from Yakima:

58 Inch Long Round Crossbars, part # Y00409
Yakima 1A Raingutter Towers, part # Y00101

Once the crossbars are in place, the Thule Flat Top Ski and Snowboard Carrier you already have will attach directly to the crossbars. When used on a Wrangler Hard Top, the drip rails that the roof rack towers attach to have a limited carrying capacity. Yakima recommends carrying skis or snowboards only, nothing heavier like cargo boxes, or baskets or bike racks.

If you would prefer a Thule rack, you can assemble one using the following:

60 Inch SquareBars, part # TH712500
Thule Rapid Gutter Feet, part # TH65BJ
Rain Gutter Brackets, part # TH542

The brackets would require drilling into the roof for installation, which is why Thule recommends they be professionally installed by an auto body shop.
