Reese 16K Goose Box 5TH Wheel Pin Box Length Replacing a 1116 Pin Box
Question:
Hi all! I have a 2005 F-250 Super Duty short bed super cab truck, and a 2022 Sprinter Limited 3590LFT 5th wheel camper. I currently tow it with a BandW companion slider hitch, and I am concerned about cab clearance during turns. Would the Goosebox give me roughly the same turning clearances as my slider with my camper? I dont mind switching the gooseball to the BandW extended gooseball to get another 4inch of depth, but I was needing to know how much clearance Id loose on a goosebox as compared to my slider in its rear and forward positions?

Based on the information I could find on your 2022 Keystone Sprinter 3590LFT 5th wheel it will have a Curt Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box - Lippert 1116 # LC176440 pin box. This pin box will have a measurement of 14-5/8" from the center of the front mounting bolts to the center of the king pin. The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP94716-61301 which fits the 1116 bolt pattern places the center of the ball mount at 18-1/2" from the center of the front mounting point bolts. This will move your 5th wheel back an additional 3-7/8". As we do not have the hitch pin to cab corner measurements for your 5th wheel I cannot guarantee if you will not have issues when maneuvering your trailer.
We also have the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches which will gain you an additional 4" you are able to move the cab back from your turnover ball.
