Can Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 be Used on Snowmobile Trailer

Question:

Good morning, I have a question regarding trailer tires. I am looking to buy a new set of wheels and tires for my Triton trailer. I use it year-round either hauling ATV/UTV or snowmobiles and fishing gear. I currently have Kenda Karrier tires and have been real happy with them. In looking for a larger wheel size I came across these AM32424 The expert note says not recommended for wet or icy roads along with not for towing a boat. O am curious why those arent recommended? I have a set of 145r12 abs they seem to work great, is the 205 size on the 15 inch wheel different other than size? I plan on getting tires on 13 wheels and want to see if you recommend a different tire for my year-round needs. Thank you,

There's no reason the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Black Mod Wheel # AM32424 wouldn't work well on icy/snowy conditions. The tread pattern is just as good as any other trailer tire so I would say that's just not accurate. One could maybe argue the painted steel wheel would corrode quicker due to salt on roads compared to an aluminum wheel but that's nothing to do with the tires. As far as it not being ideal for a boat trailer I wouldn't necessarily agree with that unless it was saltwater. The theory is that it would corrode quicker than a galvanized or aluminum wheel but if it's freshwater it's no different than driving in the rain.
