Is Bowl and Smell Issue for New Generation Dometic 300 RV Toilets Fixed

Question:

I have a dometic 300 toilet on my 2014 passport. On last camping trip got strong oder of urine in camper after 3 days. When returning home got in utube and found several post about Dometic 300 faulty seal or poor design allowing waste to collect in secondary bowl of toilet. I removed toilet and sure enough there was waste collected in secondary bowl, enough so that it spilled in camper as I was removing it outside. My question is has Dometic corrected this problem on new units? If not, will have to go with different manufacturer. Unit that I have presently is following Mfg #302300043 Ser# 34592015 Pnc#958043194 Sku#910876562 Thanks

Thank you for reaching out!

I've heard about the issues with the Dometic 300 toilets in the past and I completely understand your concerns. With that being said, the Dometic 300 Weekender RV Toilet - White # DOM64FR or Tan # DOM74FR were manufactured after that issue was discovered and I was able to confirm with my contact at Dometic that they have since fixed the issue between the bowls of the toilet and the redesigned versions are good to go!

Attached is a review video for you to check out.
