How to Replace 12 or More Yakima SKS Lock Cores to Get Same Key

Over the years I have accumulated a dozen or more cores and 1/2 dozen different keys. Its becoming a pain to keep track of them. Can the cores be rekeyed to one key.

I can imagine it's a pain, and while the Yakima SKS cores cannot be rekeyed, what you can do is replace your cores with the same lock core number and use a single key for all of them. So you don't have to replace all of the cores, and you can just use a key you already have. For example, if you wanted all of your cores to match lock core and key number A143, you could replace your cores with the following:

- Replacement SKS Lock Core for Yakima Racks and Carriers - A143 # Y8771-A143

You'd also need a control key for removal and installation, and while I assume you have that already, just in case you don't, the correct part is the Replacement Control Key for Yakima Same Key System # Y8007835.
