Easy to Mount Brake Controller Recommendation for 2021 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

All of the brake controllers seem to say that they have to positioned a certain way to work properly. Do you have anything for my 2021 Toyota Tacoma that doesn't have to follow this rule? TIA

We have a handful of brake controllers for your 2021 Toyota Tacoma that don't have to follow the orientation rule like what you mentioned.

For your application I recommend going with the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR which connects to the wiring on your Tacoma using the Wiring Adapter # RED99FR. The brains of the controller are in the red box and it can be mounted in any configuration just as long as it's in a fixed location. If it's allowed to slide around then it will have a hard time determining the direction of travel.

For a clean install you'll also pick up the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002 which gives you the ability to mount the control knob in one of the factory knock-out panel locations on your dash so it looks like your truck came with this from the factory.
