Expert Reply:
To flat tow your 2006 Jeep Liberty it will need to be 4WD and you'll need to place the transmission into neutral to safely tow it. You'll also need the following components:
Baseplate: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521423-5.
Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e74ZR. This tow bar features an adjustable head and shank to help keep your tow bar level between the motorhome and vehicle without having to purchase a high/low adapter. It also comes with safety cables included so that you don't have to purchase those separately.
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit is a super easy one-time install that will transfer your motorhome's brake and turn signals through the tail lights of your Liberty to keep you street legal.
Braking System: The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 you were looking at is a great option and is also a one time installation so that you don't have to constantly setup the system up every time you want to tow.
This system is designed for motorhomes with hydraulic brakes, if your motorhome has air brakes then you'll need to use the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes # SM99243 instead.
I've attached some videos below to help walk you through the installation process.
