Will TST Internal Tire Sensor Band Fit 17" Rims on Jeep

Question:

The TST information is in consistent. A 4’ band will only fit a 15” rim. Yet TST says it fits up to a 22” rim. That is not possible with a 4’ band

The Internal Tire Sensor for TST TPMS Systems # TST-507-INT-S1 that you have are designed to work with up to most 22-1/2" rims so since your Jeep rims are only 17" you shouldn't have any issues (the strap is 4' long if that helps at all).

You can potentially use the Tuson Steel Band Kit # TUS34FR which is a little longer but you'll have to drill some holes in the band to be able to secure the sensor to the band since the sensors use different mounting methods for the different brands.

Thank you for the reply! While I definitely see where you're coming from, I believe you're measuring the overall circumference of a 15" wheel which would be 47.1" (15 x 3.14). Since the band wraps around the middle of the wheel and not more towards the outside, it will fit with wheels larger than 15". If you check out the photo I attached you can see what I'm talking about. Wheel measurements are subject to the bead seat locations and not the middle of the wheel where the band is installed. So if you want to truly compare the 4' band length to your 17" Jeep rim you'll need to measure the circumference where the band is going to install since wheel size doesn't reflect that inner part of the wheel.
