Can the Titan BrakeRite Electric-Over-Hydraulic System be Power Washed

Question:

I am going to be mounting this on a agricultural implement, and it will get power-washed from time to time. Do I need to design a housing for this so it doesnt get hit with the water?

The housing for the Titan BrakeRite electric-over-hydraulic systems is water resistant, but it is not water proof. I recommend staying away from the unit as much as possible when power washing because the circuit board inside the unit is only protected by the white plastic cover.

If you want to design a housing around the unit, you will want to design a unit that still allows for air flow. There is a circuit board, a pump motor and electronic connections contained within this unit and there is no on-board fan to circulate air, so natural air flow is important to prevent overheating.
