Roof Mounted Solar Panels & Controller For Truck Camper & Two Batteries
Question:
Hello - we have an 2014 Arctic Fox 865 truck camper and would like to install a “permanent” solar system. There is a port in the roof for panels and a spot marked on the wall for a charge controller. Would appreciate some help with a plan and bill of materials. Have 2 batteries being charged by a progressive dynamics charge controller right now. Also a propane generator. Thank you

There is a kit that will work to charge a pair of batteries with solar panels on the roof of your truck camper, and it also includes the controller you'll need:
- Go Power Solar Flex Eclipse Charging System # GP67MR
The # GP67MR comes with a 190 watt solar panel, works with lithium, sealed, gel, and flooded lead acid batteries, the controller has a 30 amp input, and it includes the cables needed to go from the panel to the controller. It also has available expansion kits should you choose to upgrade your battery bank in the future, so you don't have to go with an all-new system.
