The Kodiak Disc Brakes for 3,500 lb Axles # KOD59FR have a KodaGuard coating on the brake calipers which gives them a 500 to 600 hour salt spray rating and makes these a great option for trailer owner's who either live near salt water or go boating in salt water and will be exposing the brakes to it. This is combined with the Dacromet finish on the hub-rotors and brackets (which have a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating) for a setup that's way more durable and resistant to salt than your standard powder coat finish.

A salt coating is also great for people who will be taking their trailer out during the winter months in places that have to put salt on the roads to help keep them cleared.
