Does Utility Trailer Battery Need to be Grounded to Charge
Question:
how do i ground a bettery in my utility trailer for charging? i have installed the new 7 wire kit from a 5 wire. just not sure how to ground the battery for charging. thanks

Expert Reply:
If you run a wire from the trailer frame to the negative post of the battery it will be grounded so that you can charge it from the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way like you are wanting. Be sure to use 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
