How To Choose Correct Replacement Landing Gear Legs for 1999 Alpenlite 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

Hi Conner, I purchased the landing gear replacement kit but when we took the leg apart the gears were fine but the screw in the leg is broken. I need to replace the leg. Can you send the information on what leg I need to purchase. The trailer is in Mexico and I’m currently in Mexico so what information do need for me to purchase the the correct leg? Thank you

In order to confirm the correct replacement landing gear leg for your trailer you'll need to take a few measurements, the first simply being the length of the outer tube. Then, you'll need to measure the distance between the weld stops either inside to inside or outside to outside. The weld stops are what keeps the brackets in position on the outer tube. I have attached a photo below for reference.

The most common replacement has a 29-1/2" long outer tube with 15-1/2" weld stop spacing inside to inside or 17-1/2" outside to outside. In which case, you'd use part # LG-179013 for the lead leg or part # LG-179014 for the follow leg.

I have attached our full list of replacement legs to choose from as well if the above won't work.
