The caption says the hitch I am looking at is not confirmed for my vehicle. Is there a way to check it before ordering?

For your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee you will want the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75699. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver you found only fits the 1999-2004 model years.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118727 will allow you to install a 4-way flat connector. This connector will allow you to connect to most small trailers as well as use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessories which impair the view of your tail lights. The Mounting Bracket # 18144 will allow you to secure the end of the 4-way to your Jeep by bolting to the tab welded onto receiver.
