Maximum Towing Capacity of the Curt Class V Trailer Hitch With or Without Weight Distribution System
Question:
I would like to confirm this Curt Hitch Part #C15410 has a towing capacity of 17,000 lbs without having to use a weight distribution system. Or is the max weight assuming a weight distribution system is used? If so, what is the max trailer towing weight without using a weight distribution system for this hitch? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I have confirmed with my contacts at Curt Manufacturing, and indeed the towing capacity of the Class V trailer hitch # C15410, is 17,000 pounds with or without using a weight distribution system. Therefore, the maximum towing weight of this trailer hitch is 17,000 pounds.
Please check the towing capacity of your 2014 Ford F-250 or F-350, and make sure that it is rated appropriately for towing this capacity. Also please keep in mind that it is not recommended to exceed the lowest rated component within your towing system.
I have included a link to the product page and an installation video for your reference.
