How Much Does Each Section of B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch for Ford Prep Weigh
Question:
Hello, I see that the BandW Companion Slider Ford OEM hitch weighs 281 lbs. I know the head can be removed to make it easier to remove the hitch from the bed. How much does the head weigh? I will subtract the head weight to determine how much the body weighs.

In regards to the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package part # BWRVK3370, the head weighs around 70 lbs and the base weighs around 190 lbs for a total of 260 lbs. It's not a lightweight fifth wheel hitch but this is by design, the extra steel goes a long way to ensure durability and longevity hence the lifetime warranty.
