Should You Use a Fixed or Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch in a 2022 Ram 2500 Short Bed w/ Prep Package

I have a 2022 Ram 2500 6-1/2' bed with pucks. Am I better off with a sliding hitch or a fixed hitch?

Since you have the 6-1/2' bed on your 2022 Ram 2500 with prep package, you will want some sort of pivot point to allow you the proper turning clearance. This can be either a sliding hitch or a rotating pin box.

If you already have a rotating pin box on your trailer, then you can use a fixed hitch like the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3600.
