There is no welding required to install the Pro Series 5th wheel trailer hitch and installation kit # PS30129. But you will need to do some drilling to install the installation kit. There will be drilling through the bed and into the frame rails of the truck. The kit used is the Reese universal kit # RP30035.
I have linked the instructions to the right showing how it will install. The instructions for your 2002 Ford Super Duty will be sheet 10 or 11 of 21 depending on the specifics of your truck. I have also included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you shown on a 2002 Ford F-250.
