Installation Recommendation For Hopkins Wiring Harness # 41157 In 2013 Dodge Ram 2500

What is the best way to install the 7 wire connector when you want to retain the liner, and where is the best location in a 2013 Ram 2500 with a 6.5ft box, thanks Steve

The Hopkins Endurance 90-Degree Wiring Harness, part # 41157, is designed to plug into the existing wiring on your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500, and still retain the use of the 7-pole connector at the bumper. Normal installation would be accomplished by drilling through the bed liner, and mounting the connector through the bed liner in a convenient place that has enough clearance, usually behind the wheel well on the driver side of the truck bed. I have attached a link to a video that shows the installation of this harness.

I called Hopkins and they said there is no best location they are aware of for your Dodge Ram. Concerning retaining the bed liner, you may be able to find a location under the siderail of your Ram, and attach it so that it is secure. You will want to make sure it is attached in a location that allows you to securely hook up the harness on the trailer.

I would recommend mounting the connector in a secure location so that it would not be easily damaged.
