Powered A-Frame Jack Recommendation for 5,600 lb Toy Hauler with Weight Distribution
Question:
Hi, I’m looking for a recommendation for an electric tongue jack for my 26ft 5600lb dry toy hauler. I’m unsure of exact tongue weight but I think it’s around 700lbs. Should I get a 3500 or 5000 lb Jack? I do need it to have enough power to lift the camper and my truck about 12” to get my weight distribution hitch on. Thanks

The higher the capacity of the jack that you go with the quicker it will raise and lower due to less straining but you could easily get by with a 3,500 lb capacity jack on a trailer with a 700 lb tongue weight. My favorite one to recommend is the Phoenix part # UF38-944040 which is by far the fastest jack out there as it extends in less than 10 seconds. This will make the process of jacking up and down to install your WD system much quicker and easier.
