When installing The Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180 onto your 2022 Ford Ranger you will not need any additional fuses to get it to work. The controller plugs in line with your 7-way trailer connector. You get to operate the brake controller from the cab of your vehicle using your smartphone. The controller has a triple-axis accelerometer which makes it highly responsive to ensure a smooth, uniform stopping action.
The Manual Override Button # C83HR allows you to activate your trailer brakes without using your smartphone. It works in tandem with your Echo controller and your phone app. If you do not have a factory 7-way installed on your 2022 Ford Ranger you will also need The 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.
