RV Step Recommendation for Cargo Trailer

Question:

I am wanting to put steps on my cargo trailer. Where I am mounting steps is 3-4 inches below door. I am hoping my first step out of trailer to have no more than an 8” drop. Can you help me figure out which one to use. Double step.

Thanks for reaching out!

We'll want to make sure these don't sit too low but something like the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step for RVs # LC432682 might work really well for your application. These have a max 7" drop/drop between the steps and mounting points and you can bolt the steps to your trailer once you've installed the Mounting Brackets # LC301704.

When fully extended these steps drop down 15-1/2" from the mounting location so you'll need to measure from the ground to where you plan on mounting these to ensure the lower step won't be sitting on the ground. I noticed you said the mounting location is already 3"-4" below the door. Is that where the mounting brackets are going to be installed or where you're anticipating the steps to sit?

Attached is a review video as well as some dimensional photos of the step. If this won't work out for your application please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you find a solution!
