Recommended Air Bags and Towing Mirrors for a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Hi I have a 2016 Silverado regular cab 2500HD 8ft bed. I want to buy airbags maybe Firestone brand. I have a slide in camper with max weight 3100 pounds. Any help with this would be great! Also what is available for the side mirrors? I can’t see the sides of the camper. Looking for something nice to replace the original mirrors. Thanks

I would be happy to help you. To add a set of air bags to your 2016 Silverado 2500HD you will want to use the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2613. These air bags have a 5,000 lbs capacity so they will give you plenty of support with your in bed camper.

I like the Firestone air bags over Air Lifts because they use a steel band that spans around the center to keep the bag from overlapping itself which can cause weak spots in the rubber when the bag is deflated. They also use corrosion-resistant metal end plates that the bag itself is folded into.

I recommend adding the Firestone Air Command I item # F2158 to your set up. This onboard air compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from the comfort of your cab.

To add some towing mirrors to your truck I recommend the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors item # KS62135-36G. These custom, power towing mirrors will replace the factory mirrors on your Chevy Silverado 2500. They extend an additional 4" to give you a better sight line.

They do not work with the Duramax diesel models and we do not have any replacement mirrors for those Silverados.
