Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2016 Ford F-250 Short Bed w/ Turnover Ball System
Question:
I have a BandW Gooseneck hitch installed in a 2016 F-250 4x4 with short bed. Can the AutoSlider under bed equipment be installed without losing the gooseneck system?

Thanks for the picture! I have a solution for you but the Demco Autoslider item # DM8550022 requires access to your frame rails to be installed and it is not compatible with the B&W item # BWGNRK1111-5W you already have.
To add a sliding hitch to your 2016 Ford F-250 short bed truck you are going to want the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3400-5W. This is the only option to add a sliding 5th wheel hitch to your truck.
The B&W Companion Slider has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for backing and making tight turns. The 1" thick dual jaws provide a 360-degree jaw to king pin contact. This not only gives you a more secure connection but it also results in a more comfortable and quieter towing experience.
I have linked an installation video below.
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56000. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
