I would be happy to recommend a flat towing setup. To flat tow your 1984 Toyota 4Runner you're going to need a tow bar/safety chains, base plate kit, wiring harness, charge line kit, and supplemental braking system. I have listed the necessary parts you will need below along with any videos we may have on installing or setting up this parts.

Tow Bar - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs item # RM-520

Safety Chains - RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs item # RM-643

Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit item # 1117-1

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit item # RM-154

Charge Line Kit - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25

Supplemental Braking System - Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System item # HM39524

High low adapter

The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I'll link you to an FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
