Troubleshooting Brakes Not Working on Prodigy P3 When Brake Pedal Applied
Question:
Have a 2004 jeep grand cherokee that I install the Curt 55369 and the 7way ETBC7. Hooked everything up per your install instructions, using a p3 brake controller. Everything works as it should with the brake controller with the exception of the brakes applying. I can use the manual brake override switch to apply the brakes to my camper, however using the brake pedal does not apply any brakes at all. What could be the issue?

It sounds like you're applying the brake pedal while sitting idle. The Prodigy P3 # 90195 is a proportional brake controller, which means that the brakes are applied based on the deceleration of your vehicle. If you are testing the brakes while sitting still, the manual override will work but pressing the brake pedal will not. Once you start moving the brake controller and brakes should work as intended when you press the brake pedal to stop.
