Does Bumper Cover Need to be Removed to Install Trailer Wiring on a 2014 Ford Escape
Question:
I am trying to install wiring part no 118566 having trouble pulling wire up from bottom of bumper to tail light. Cant get the wire harness and plugs up to rear tail light seems to be hitting on mount piece for bumper reinforcement. Do I need to remove rear bumper cover?

You may need to loosen but not completely remove the bumper cover to be able to move passed the obstruction. Or you may also be able to do it without that by having an assistant help manipulate it just right to get it through. While our installers did not have this issue in the video it has happened before on other vehicles. Sometimes you do have to loosen, if not remove, something to get the access you need.
