Will the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter Work On Short Style Pin Boxes

Question:

With the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12 to 16 Tall - 20,000 lbs I have 1986 27g prowler that that the kingpin that not extend out like many other trailer and I’m converting it to a car trailer. Can I still use that adapter or do I need to use something else? I have a BandW flip over ball as well

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G is compatible with all different types of pin box, some of the different styles are attached below. The only thing to make note of is that the shorter the pin box is, the less cab clearance you'll have. That said, there is an option for the short pin boxes so you don't have reduced cab clearance and it's with the offset adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216.

There are however a few exceptions to the above, the adapters are not available with rotating or cushioned pin boxes.
