How to Determine the Best Wave Catalytic Safety Heater for a 29' Class C Motorhome
Question:
How do I determine what size I need Wave 3 vs. Wave 6 vs. Wave 8 for my 29 foot Class C motor home ? I live in central Arkansas so I’m not going to be camping in subzero temperatures but occasionally it does get below freezing. And because my RV is an older model a 1998 it may not be as well insulated as newer models. I am not sure since it’s our first RV. I do know I have been using an oscillating Lasko electric space heater to help heat it when hooked up to power because the furnace doesn’t seem to work that great and the two times we overnighted it was very cold because the furnace wouldn’t cut on because we have a 12 volt lead acid battery that won’t power it.

The correct Camco Olympian Wave Catalytic Safety Heater is going to depend on how much space you are trying to heat up.
The Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57331 is good for RV's 12' long and approximately 130 sq. ft.
The Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57341 is good for RV's 18' long and approximately 230 sq. ft.
The Camco Olympian Wave 8 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57351 is good for RV's 23' long and approximately 290 sq. ft.
If you are trying to heat the entire RV, the Camco Olympian Wave 8 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57351 would be the way to go.
If you are just trying to heat the bedroom area, then you could get away with the Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57331.
