Can The Torflex Lift Kit Be Installed Without Having To Raise The Entire Trailer Off The Ground?
Question:
Hello, Regarding lift kit #K71-707-02 for dual #10 Dexter Torflex axles. Id like to avoid lifting my entire trailer off the ground at one time to install this kit. Is there any reason why I shouldnt install the kit on one side of the trailer while leaving the opposite sides wheels on the ground? I propose to install the kit on one side of the trailer, replace the wheels on the lifted side and lower them to the ground, and then raise the opposite side to install the remaining lift components, all while leaving the trailer attached to my trucks hitch for added stability. A large floor jack and two large jack stands would be employed in the process. The hitch would be checked for level and adjusted if needed after the kit installation is complete. I await your reply eagerly

When installing the Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-02 for the #10 Dexter axles on your 2022 Forest River Rockwood Mini Lite travel trailer you will want to follow the manufacturer instructions for raising your entire trailer off the ground. This is required as you will have to loosen the bolts on both sides of the axle to prevent bending the mounting flange. If you left everything attached on the one side the way you are wanting, you will have to bend the mounting bracket on the bolted side to get the axle the 2-5/8" from the frame allowing you to install on the other side.
We do have additional Jack Stands # PTW41021 for getting your trailer entirely off the ground.
