Recommended EOH Disc Brake Kit for Utility Trailer with Dexter 5,200 Lb Axles

Question:

Good day, I was hoping for some advice/guidance on switching from drum to disc brakes for my utility trailer. I have a tandem axle trailer with 5200lb dexter axles 6x5.5 Id like to switch over to a disc brake setup and electric over hydraulic control. What would be your recommendations and products I would need to make the conversion. Thank you

Expert Reply:

In order to convert from electric drum to hydraulic disc brakes on your trailer you'll need the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR526DKG and the Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit part # CAR-HBA16-2 but that's it. The actuator kit has all the same stuff you need like brake lines, breakaway, and connectors/fittings. The brake kit has all the major components like the hub/rotor, calipers, and brake pads.
