Does 7-Way For 2022 Honda Pilot Charge Trailer Battery

Kyle, thank you for your prompt reply. Have an added question. If I wanted to charge my Lithium battery through my tow vehicle battery, what changes would I need to make to do this? Thanks again for your prompt assistance.

Your trailer battery will receive a maintenance charge, but will not charge up when towing with your 2022 Honda Pilot and plugged into the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118286.

So if you're okay with just a maintenance charge and not fully charging the battery when driving, then all you need is the aforementioned 7-way. But since you don't want to charge the battery from your Honda, the only way to do so is with a wall charger such as the OptiMate 2 DUO Smart Battery Charger - AC to DC # MA27JR.

Happy to help, and if you wanted to charge your trailer battery while driving, you will need a DC-to-DC charger, and there is one from Redarc that will suit your needs. The charger and required fuses are the following part numbers: - Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger - Single Input - DC to DC # RED96FR - 30-Amp MIDI Fuse Kit # RED86FR You will connect your Honda's battery to the charger, which will then go to your trailer battery to fully charge it while you're on the go.
