Can Trailer Hub Be Replaced on Old Thule Trailer  

Question:

I got the old hub off , the bearings were toast, Im not sure of the year but I have dementions . The diameter of the shaft which the bearing slides on is 1.180 and that diameter is 1.380 long Do you know what I need and is it available? Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out with those dimensions!

It doesn't look like any of the bearings on the market match a 1.180" inner diameter so I'm thinking that Thule used a specialized hub that didn't use standard parts. Because of this I recommend swapping out your entire axle so we can get you the parts needed now and in the future.

I believe Thule used the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for their trailers so if you pick up the Timbren Axle-Less system you'll need part # A20RS545 for a 2,000 lb rating or part # A35RS545 for a 3,500 lb rating. I really like the Timbren kits because they install directly to the frame so you don't have as much calculating to do as you do with the standard leaf spring suspension setup. This also uses Aeon rubber springs which move independently of each other and don't require as much maintenance as standard leaf springs do.
